TV Cast Privacy Policy
Effective date: 28 September 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
TV Cast is an iPhone app that mirrors your screen and plays photos, videos, web videos and IPTV streams on a smart TV or streaming device connected to the same Wi-Fi network. It also offers a movie advisor that suggests something to watch. The app is published by Zyveroq OÜ, Estonia ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@swiftnest.online.
This policy explains what information the app handles, why, who else is involved, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It applies to the TV Cast app and to this website. It does not apply to Apple's App Store, to your TV or streaming device, or to websites and IPTV services you open through the app.
2. What you cast stays on your network
Casting and mirroring happen directly between your iPhone and your TV over your local Wi-Fi network. Our servers are not involved and never receive what you show on the TV.
- Screen mirroring. When you start a broadcast, iOS shows its own screen-recording prompt and a red indicator while it runs. The app turns the picture, and the app sound if you leave sound on, into a live stream that your TV plays over your Wi-Fi network. The stream is held briefly in memory for playback and is not saved to files or sent anywhere else. Microphone audio is not captured. You can stop the broadcast at any time from the app or from Control Center.
- Photos and videos. When you choose items from your library, the app makes them available to your TV over your Wi-Fi network for as long as you are casting. They are not copied to us.
- Web videos. When you cast a video from a website, the TV is given the address of that video and usually loads it directly from the website.
- IPTV. Playlists you add are stored only on your iPhone. The channels come from the IPTV provider you chose, not from us.
3. How the app identifies you
TV Cast has no sign-up and no login, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number. The app uses the identifier your iPhone assigns to apps from our company (Apple calls it the identifier for vendor). If that identifier is not available, the app creates a random one and keeps it in your device's keychain. We use this identifier to link analytics, diagnostics and your subscription status to the same installation. It does not tell us who you are.
4. Permissions the app asks for
- Local network. The app looks for smart TVs and streaming devices on your Wi-Fi network so you can connect to them. It uses the standard discovery methods TVs support, such as Bonjour, DIAL and UPnP/DLNA. The list of devices it finds is used on your iPhone to show you what you can connect to.
- Photo library. Used only to show your photos and videos so you can pick what to play on the TV. You can allow access to selected items only.
- Screen recording. Granted through the iOS broadcast prompt each time you start mirroring, as described in section 2.
- Tracking. Asked once, as described in section 9. Saying no has no effect on any feature.
The app does not ask for your camera, microphone, contacts or location. You can change any permission in iOS Settings for the TV Cast app.
5. Information you give us
- Movie advisor requests. The genres and moods you pick, any note you type, and your preferred language. They are sent to our server, which uses a third-party AI provider to produce suggestions. The request does not include your name or your device identifier. Please do not put personal information in the note.
- Support emails. If you write to us, we keep the conversation and your email address for as long as needed to resolve the request.
6. Information collected automatically
- Device and app details. The identifier described in section 3, the app version, the iPhone model and iOS version, and the language and region your phone is set to.
- Usage events. Which screens you open and what you tap, for example that you connected to a TV, started mirroring or closed a paywall. These events go to our analytics providers under your identifier.
- Connection diagnostics. When connecting or casting fails, the app sends a technical report so we can fix it: what went wrong, the type of network connection, whether local network access is allowed, and details of the TV involved, such as its brand, the name it shows on your network, its address on your home network and what it supports. If the problem happened while casting from a website, the report includes that website's domain name, but not the page you were on.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, a report with the device state and the point of failure is sent to our crash reporting service.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active subscription, a trial, or none, the plan, and Apple's transaction reference. We never see your payment card or Apple ID.
- Advertising identifier. Only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, as described in section 9.
- Approximate location. Our analytics and attribution providers infer a city and country from your internet address on their servers. The app never uses GPS and never asks for location permission.
7. What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, postal address, contacts, precise location, health data or payment details. We do not receive the content of your screen, your photos and videos, the videos you cast, your IPTV playlists or your browsing history. The app shows no advertising.
8. Why we use this information
- To run the app. Find your TV, connect to it, play what you choose, and unlock paid features when you subscribe.
- To answer movie advisor requests. Send your picks to the AI provider described in section 5 and show you the suggestions.
- To fix problems. Understand why connections or playback fail on particular TVs and networks, using diagnostics and crash reports.
- To improve the app. Understand which features are used and where people struggle, using usage events.
- To show and manage subscription offers. Decide which offer to show and check whether you have already subscribed.
- To measure our advertising. Learn which campaigns lead to installs and subscriptions, as described in section 9.
- To answer you. Respond to support requests and privacy requests.
- To meet legal duties. Keep the records tax and consumer law require of a business that sells subscriptions.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you (the app and its paid features), our legitimate interests (fixing problems, improving the app, measuring our own marketing) and your consent where the law requires it (tracking through the advertising identifier, and access to your photo library and screen, all of which you grant through iOS prompts and can withdraw).
9. Tracking and advertising attribution
When iOS shows the "allow this app to track" prompt, saying no has no effect on any feature. Saying yes lets us share the advertising identifier and the fact that you installed or subscribed with our attribution partner, which matches it against the advertising networks we buy campaigns from. Whatever you choose, Apple may tell our attribution partner which Apple Search Ads campaign, if any, led to the download, using Apple's own attribution system, which does not identify you. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy and Security, then Tracking. We do not sell personal information and do not share it with data brokers.
10. Service providers
We share information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf and need access to it to do that work. Each is bound by a contract that limits its use of the data to providing its service to us. They fall into these categories:
- Apple for the App Store, in-app purchases and subscription management.
- AI provider for the movie advisor described in section 5.
- Analytics and crash reporting to understand how the app is used and to fix errors.
- Advertising attribution to measure our advertising campaigns, as described in section 9.
- Subscription management to show subscription offers and validate purchases with Apple.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure for our server, the storage of diagnostic reports, remote configuration of the app and this website.
The start page of the in-app browser shows website icons that are loaded from a public icon service. Websites you open in the browser, your TV and its manufacturer, and IPTV providers you use are not our service providers; they handle information under their own privacy policies.
11. How long we keep information and how it is protected
- On your iPhone. IPTV playlists, settings and the identifier stay on your device. Deleting the app removes playlists and settings.
- Movie advisor requests are used to produce your suggestions and are not stored in a profile about you.
- Connection diagnostics are kept for as long as they help us investigate problems, then deleted.
- Usage events and crash reports are kept by our analytics and crash reporting providers under their standard retention windows, which are set to months rather than years.
- Subscription records are kept for as long as accounting and consumer law require.
- Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request.
All traffic between the app, our servers and our providers is encrypted. Only the small number of people who operate the service can access the data, and only to run it.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to take it with you in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you gave earlier. People in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland have these rights under the GDPR and its equivalents, and may complain to their data protection authority. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the past twelve months.
Because we hold no name or email address, we cannot look you up by who you are. To exercise a right, write to support@swiftnest.online from the device that runs the app and include the app version; we will guide you through identifying your data. We answer requests within one month.
13. Children
TV Cast is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the app and sent us data, contact us and we will erase it.
14. International transfers
Some of the providers in section 10, and the servers that store diagnostics and answer movie advisor requests, process data in the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK addendum to them, or the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
15. Changes to this policy
When we change how the app handles data we will update this page and its effective date. For changes that materially affect you we will also tell you inside the app before they take effect.
